A foreigner in Germany

The reasons for leaving the homeland are manifold. Persecution and war in the home country are the most common, because hardly anybody leaves home voluntarily to meet an uncertain future in a foreign country. Other people hope to escape from a difficult economical situation and to start a new life here.

Asylum seekers and refugees are depending on help and support because of their poverty and homelessness, because of their language problems and lack of orientation. In the counselling centres of Bavarian Diakonie they receive comprehensive information about their legal rights and obligations and the ayslum- and immigration law procedures.

Moreover, the experts of Diakonie Bavaria offer advice for all social questions: they give support to develop new perspectives and securing a livelihood. Our focus is especially on the people who are in a crisis while in exile, just like the separation from the family, a sickness or problems securing the livelihood.
